Alpha Psi Omega is a National Theater Honor Society. It's purpose is to recognize achievement, excellence, and that extra drive in the Dramatic Arts, be it straight plays, musical theater, improv or sketch comedy, etc. There are many things under the umbrella of Dramatic Arts, and Alpha Psi Omega recognizes and embraces all of them.
The organization serves as both a recognition of talent and dedication and also as another outlet for those who'd like to do more and to expand their horizons. As the largest greek letter organization in the country, many people in the business recognize us and what we stand for.
There are many famous Alpha Psi's that have made it out there, such as Don Knotts (of The Andy Griffith Show), Bill Pullman (Lone Starr in Spaceballs) and Dann Florek (from Law and Order, LA Law). There are plenty of Alumni that, while not quite as famous as those folks, are still making a name for themselves. With over 1000 chapters throughout its history and over 500 active chapters throughout the nation, Alpha Psi members, both current and alumni, are everywhere.
"Theater is all about exceptions to the rule."
Be Exceptional,
Be an Alpha Psi
